Below we outline step by step instructions on transferring UK domains and GTLDs (Generic Top Level Domains) to your Prystine account.

UK domains (.co.uk, .uk. org.uk etc)

Domains ending in .uk require just two simple processes to be completed in order to transfer them. They are:

  1. Update the IPSTag to STACK with the existing provider.
  2. Complete the transfer via your control panel with us.

To do these steps you'll need to:

  1. Ask your current domain provider to change the IPS Tag of the domain to STACK. Most providers allow this via their control panel (often under advanced settings).
  2. Login to your account (or create an account) at my.prystine.co.uk and navigate to domains.
  3. Enter the domain name and click Search.
  4. Add the domain to your basket and complete checkout.
  5. The transfer will complete almost instantly, but in some rare cases can take up to 24 to 48 hours.

GTLDs (.com, .org, .net etc)

These are domain names ending in .com, .net, .org and most other domains.

This process is a little more complex than transferring UK domain names and takes a little longer.

You’ll need to follow this step by step guide below:

  1. Ask your current domain provider for the domain name authorisation code.
  2. Make sure you are listed as the Admin Contact, as an e-mail will get sent here.
  3. Login to your account at my.prystine.co.uk and navigate to domains.
  4. Enter the domain name and click Search.
  5. Add the domain to your basket and complete checkout.
  6. An email will be sent – usually instantly but can take up to 6 hours – to the e-mail address listed as the Admin Contact.
  7. Follow the link in this e-mail and Approve the transfer by entering the authorisation code obtained earlier.
  8. Once authorised the transfer will complete automatically within 5 days.
